Firefox 3 problem - fix applied

 We have applied a fix that should resolve the problems associated with using the Firefox 3 browser to access Blackboard. We will be monitoring the effectiveness of this solution over the next few weeks.

To recap: while Firefox 3 generally works well with our version of Blackboard there are specific problems associated with some Blackboard functionality, such as uploading files. Attempts to upload a file will result in an error (e.g. "Please select a valid filetype") and the file will not be uploaded.  This error is also associated with other actions like importing and exporting question pools.

If you find that you do have problems using Blackboard with Firefox 3, and have checked that the problem only occurs when using Firefox 3 (by using a different browser i.e. Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer) please let us know by emailing bb-help@bristol.ac.uk.
